Vision and Mission

Vision

Integrated sustainable development of water resources in Bangladesh through participatory water management, protection of people's lives and property through water related disaster management and improvement of socio-economic condition of the people by ensuring food security through development of irrigation system.

 

Mission

Strategic plans include flood control, development of drainage and irrigation systems, prevention of river erosion, land reclamation, salinity reduction and integrated coastal management to address the adverse effects of climate change on food security, poverty alleviation and water management; Increase people's involvement through active participation in integrated water resources management.
